Election Announcement
IMPORTANT ELECTION MEETING
As most of you know, the membership of the USAFA Arizona Parents club recently voted to amend our bylaws, enabling us to elect our officers in March instead of in May. Tom and Pat Hawn have been hard at work heading up our elections committee. A special thank you to the Hawns and all of the parents that volunteered to help Tom and Pat notify our members of the upcoming election.
At this time, I would like to announce the names of those parents that have graciously volunteered to hold an office for the 2001-2002 year. They are:Tom & Debbie Grayson, Presidents;Neal & MaryAnn Carpenter, Vice-Presidents; Ramon & Liz Montes, Secretaries; and Frank & Maria Scaglione, Treasurers. I commend these four couples for their willingness to get involved and for their dedication to the service of the club.
I would also like to take the time to thank our current officers for their tremendous efforts this past year. Neal & MaryAnn Carpenter, Vice-Presidents,Gene & Connie Rainey, Secretaries, and Frank & Maria Scaglione, Treasurers. Also our Tucson representatives, Mike & Leslie Epperson. A special thank you to Connie Rainey for all the time she has spent in developing and maintaining our new web page.
Now all we have to do is get together for a vote!We are incorporating this meeting with our Spring Garage Sale/Potluck. It is very important that our members attend this meeting and cast a vote.We hope to see you all there!
SPRING GARAGE SALE/ELECTION POTLUCK-MARCH 10, 2001
We would like to ask everyone to start collecting your treasures for this year's annual Spring Garage Sale. This year Liz & Ramon Montes have graciously offered us their home for the sale and election potluck. ITEMS FOR THE SALE:To make a contribution to the garage sale, please call Liz or Ramon Montes at (602) 788-1730 and arrange for dropping your things off at their home, prior to the sale. This year we are trying to encourage people to mark their items with prices.
DIRECTIONS: (Greenway may be accessed using Hwy 51 or I-10)Take Greenway Road to Tatum Blvd. (48th street),turn south and follow Tatum to a stoplight at Tatum & Acoma. Turn west onto Acoma & pass Scottsdale Christian High School. Turn south (left) on 45th place. Continue to the end of the street which turns into Hearn Rd.The house is two story on the left.
ATTENTION ALL SENIOR PARENTS-2001
The Northeast Ohio AFA Parents Association is selling Class of 2001 graduation plaques. The plaque is a handsome plaster reproduction of the 2001 class crest logo mounted on an 8"x10" simulated walnut plaque. Below the crest is a 2-1/4" x 6-3/4" metal plate suitable for engraving up to six lines of text. The plaques are $18.00 each plus the cost of shipping.
