Happy Holiday Season to all the USAFA AZ Parents Club Members!!

A few reminders to mark your calendars for upcoming events, before the
cadets come home, very soon, hungry for turkey and all the trimmings!

The weekend after Thanksgiving, on Saturday, Dec. 7^th, we will once again
gather together to pack and send cookies to the Arizona Cadets just before
their exam time. Get out the recipes, rolling pins and ingredients!

We ask for at least 8 dozen cookies from each family, sealed in a plastic
bag with 5-6 per bag. If you can't bake, for any reason, it is OK.
Other goodies are welcome as well. Individual small bags of chips, candy
bars, power bars, peanut butter or cheese crackers, trail mix, or even
store bought cookies will be most welcome by us as well as the eager cadets.

We have almost 100 cadets from Arizona. Our State grows them smart and
hungry! The boxes we fill holds several dozens. (If unable to attend, a
monetary donation is also most welcomed.) This is the season to be generous.
More than half the AZ Cadets are members of our Club, so you see we need
your continued support.

Don't forget to also bring a side dish to share afterwards for our luncheon.
The host parents, Treasurers Gary and June Munson will supply the main dish.

Our main fundraiser of the year is the sale of CHRISTMAS CARDS.
Vice Presidents, Donn and Sherree Newhouse are waiting anxiously to take
your orders. You can view the varieties of designs, and print out the order

We will also be selling the beautiful cards at the Cookie Packing Meeting.
Prices range from $16.99 to $18.99 per box of 20. Shipping is extra.

Lastly....
We top off this wonderful year of 2002 with THE ALL ACADEMIES BALL
On Saturday, December 28^th, AT THE BEAUTIFUL CHAPARRAL SUITES HOTEL in
Scottsdale. The invitations have all been mailed, and RSVP's and checks
for this annual gala event should be mailed to Susan Armer, Navy chair, in
the envelope provided, by December 1, 2002.

If, per chance, you DID NOT receive an invitation, please call the Munson's.

ALL OUR ARIZONA CADETS, MEMBERS, AND NON-MEMBERS, WILL BE PAID FOR BY OUR
CLUB! You will be so proud to see your Cadet(s) introduced formally and
individually in their dress uniforms. Please remind your cadet to bring
this uniform home. If Doolies do not have their formal uniforms, tell them
to bring to wear the best uniform they have currently please.

DRESS THIS YEAR IS SEMI-FORMAL/FORMAL FOR ALL OTHER GUESTS.

THE MENU HAS GOOD VARIETY CHOICES, AND THE FUN, AND EXCITEMENT AWAITS!!

ALL THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR ARIZONA CADETS, MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS, WILL BE
PRESENTED AN AWARD BY PRESIDENTS MARK AND LINDA HOWES FOR THEIR ACHIEVEMENT.


SO PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR, AND GET OUT YOUR DANCING SHOES, FOR THIS
EXTRODINARY EVENING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS FOR THE ALL ACADEMIES BALL!!
